Kaiut Yoga

Facilitating joint stimulation through simple postures, (asanas) one restores body mobility.  Utilizing the mind-body connection, we regain full range of motion.  This provides relief from past traumas and injuries, and promotes a meditative state that counters the stresses of modern life.  Designed for all ages and bodies, the asanas are adapted to the specific needs of each student to promote healing and restoration.  Great for beginners and those new to yoga practice, but all levels welcome.

Trauma Relief Yoga

Geared to veterans, this integrative class emphasizes a safe, supportive, and nonjudgemental environment where participants can regain a sense of choice, agency, and control after trauma. Utilizing basic Hatha, Vinyasa and Restorative yoga poses, along with union of breath, movement and mindful resilience techniques to help manage stress, trauma and ptsd. Through a series of dynamic sequences we connect mind, body and spirit to bring us into deep relaxation to rejuvenate and recharge the body as well as promote healing and nervous system regulation.

Mommy & Me Yoga

is designed for all stages of pregnancy and postpartum as an invitation to connect deeply to the spiritual, emotional, and physical transformation during the childbearing year. You will be guided through meditation, breath, body awareness, alignment, and movement. This class will offer you tools to take into your labor and birth experience, as well as support for regaining strength in the postpartum journey. All levels of experience are welcome!

Feldenkrais

Awareness Through Movement lessons are group classes where participants are verbally led through a series of structured sequences, establishing new patterns of movement. These lessons utilize attention, perception and imagination designed to evoke a more synergistic use of your Self. Feldenkrais lessons may feel similar to guided movement meditations, asking students to focus their awareness inwards with curiosity, along with a willingness to move slowly, in order to find out about their own habits. Lessons can be both subtle and meditative, or playfully explorative, many ending with movement sequences that students might not have thought possible for themselves.

Pure Barre

Pure Barre is a high-energy, low-impact, full-body workout that uses small. isometric movements to strengthen and tone your muscles - especially those hard-to-target areas like your core, thighs, glutes, and arms. This sixty minute class blends elements of ballet, Pilates, and strength training for a challenging yet accessible workout that delivers results. All fitness levels are welcome. A class with a more anatomical emphasis, students learn techniques and movements for the various categories of poses. In the spirit of Hatha yoga, developing both stability and increased mobility, we create positive conditions so poses may evolve and advance naturally. Through this class we will condition core muscles for stability, strength, & spaciousness; understand key movements and the power of repetition to create a body memory of alignment; and generate greater internal support for improved posture and movement.

Prana,, usually translated as energy or life force, is the Sanskrit word that most people are familiar with. Vidya is both “science” and “wisdom”. All of Hatha yoga is about this: energy management and a profound understanding of life force. This class includes a mild to moderately dynamic movement practice, along with more refined breath techniques to guide us toward deeper and more subtle states of awareness. As with Hatha class, there may be weight-bearing positions with the arms. Aims and benefits include, increased circulation and respiration, utilizing breath to direct energy more specifically which focuses the mind and creates a gateway to meditation, learning and experiencing the deeper meaning of Prana, and to get in a great mid-day boost.
